Alison Maria Krauss - born on the 23rd of July 1971 is an American country and bluegrass singer. Alison Maria Krauss started her music career early she was winning competitions in her local area at the age of 10. Her first recording was her first recording at the age 14. In 1985 she was signed by Rounder Records. Her first solo album debuted in 1987. Then, she was invited to join Alison Krauss Union Station, which is the group she performs with. Her first album in a group with this group came out in 1989.
